I've lived in Johnstone all my life .I worked as a civil servant and spent 22 years representing parts of the town and neighbouring villages on Renfrewshire Council.
I live in the area and I know the need for facilities that are available and that are affordable to as many people as possible.
I believe the centre does that and I want to play a part in promoting and securing the future improvement of the centre.
Born and raised in Johnstone Castle and then Cochrane Castle I have always had a keen interest in community development.
I formed Thorn Athletic Football Club in 1998 and have helped oversee the club's growth during that period and we now have around 200 players, coaches and volunteers.
That led to my role in the sports centre project which I became involved in around 2010 until present. I enjoy working with groups and helping develop ideas.
I've worked in the newspaper industry for more than 20 years and I have a keen interest in music and other types of sports.
